Winter is almost over and we are all itching to get outside with our metal detector. Besides being a great way to remedy cabin fever, hunting in the spring is actually one of the best times to use a metal detector. Your metal detector will be able to find more and detect deeper. When the frozen ground thaws out in spring, those deeper coins get a push upwards towards the surface. Also, spring means rain and metal in wet ground conducts better. Now it is time to take advantage of warmer, wetter weather by dragging out the metal detector and make some great finds. With these tips in mind, you can again hunt those old places that have yielded old coins in the past and you just might find a few more!
